Engagements

Angela & Ryan - Engagement Session

You know that feeling when you can just feel so much positive energy coming from a person– that is exactly how I felt while documenting these two wonderful individuals at their engagement session. I’m pretty sure you can see their energy trough some of their captures. Take a look for yourself. First a little on them

“Ryan and I met about 2 1/2 years ago at our local CrossFit box. I remember seeing him for the first time and saying “that’s the man I am going to marry.” Call it the Holy Spirit or call me crazy LOL but a few short months after that we started dating. During Spring Break of this year we were visiting Vail, Colorado and Ryan proposed. Since meeting Ryan it has been such an adventure consisting of traveling, binge watching The Office, cooking together (Which before Ryan and I NEVER did) and learning/growing together in Jesus.”

Christian + Renata - The Menil Collection/Houston TX

This is so GOALS right here!

Fellas, if you’re on the site(if you’re reading this, that means you are) because you are planning a surprise proposal, TAKE SOME NOTES on this one!

Christians story on Renata’s ring:

The style is heavily based off of one of her grandmother's rings that she would wear as a kid. The cut of the stone is the same as her mother's wedding ring, and symbolizes their relationship. The stone itself is my birthstone, so I can always be there, which is nice because... the stone just so happens to be her favorite color. Also, the stones on the side are significant because they are not diamonds. It was really important to her that they be anything else. I looked between several options and decided on moissanite, and was adamant about it. And, lastly, that I worked on it for so long! I spent weeks researching to decide what she needed. Enormous shout out to @dubinsfinejewelry for the help in making it real! The style is heavily based off of one of her grandmother's rings that she would wear as a kid. Galveston TX - Daisy + Fernando Engagement Session

Sometimes you just have to take a risk and SHOOT for the best!

That seemed to be the modo the day of Daisy + Fernando’s engagement session. We planned to have their session at Galveston TX. The morning of, I found out we would be facing plenty of fog if we decided to continue with the it. I unfortunately had to break the news to D+F about the circumstances. I explained that we could still shoot, however the backdrops would not be to an ideal beach session— but more of a moody beach session(which I personally love). Their response, “JB we trust you and lets go for it”. The outcome? See if for yourself ( :

Alyssa + Corbin / Houston TX - Engagement Session

Sunny out, overcast, rain then sunny once again— that’s Houston TX weather for you!

This is what we dealt with during Alyssa and Corbin’s session, yet I couldn’t be any happier with the outcome!

Many brides dread having to deal with rain on their wedding day—  personally, I love the idea of a little rain. A rainy day creates a very nice soft light, which enhances the skin tones and brings out your natural glow. It also creates light misty backdrops, which sets an even more romantic feel in any engagement session or wedding day.

Take a look!
